Arthur Alan Davenport, 54, of Hartman died Friday, June 20, 2003, at the Veterans Hospital in Little Rock.


He was a member of Calvary Baptist Church, the American Legion, Hartman Cemetery Association, and the Military Order of the Purple Heart, a Vietnam Purple Heart recipient, son of the late Lonnie Dallas and Annie Belle Marvel Davenport, and employed as a waterproofer.


Survivors include his widow, Debra Lynn Cremer Davenport; one daughter, Annie Marie Sampley of Ozark; three sons, Mark Alan Davenport of Clarksville and Kevin Wayne Davenport and Terence Adam Davenport, both of Hartman; three sisters, Bonnie McFadden of Coal Hill, June Johnson of Cedar Falls, Iowa, and Anna Davenport of Fernandina Beach, Fla.; two brothers, Lonnie Dallas Davenport and Roy Thomas Davenport, both of Coal Hill; and four grandchildren.


Funeral was at 2 p.m. Tuesday, June 24, at the Landmark Missionary Baptist Church with Rev. Lonnie Tidwell and Rev. Vernon Bass officiating.


Burial was in Hartman Cemetery with military honors. Arrangements were under the direction of Roller-Cox Funeral Home.


Active pallbearers were Jerry Estep, Larry Roberts, James Smith, Don Hurst, Larry Griffin, and Robert Liptak.
Honorary pallbearers were David Crocker, Mike Jacobs, Tom Dorney and Randy Daugherty.


Debra Lynn Cremer Davenport was born February 8, 1955, to her parents in Duncan, Oklahoma, and passed away August 18, 2015, in Hartman, Arkansas, at the age of 60, She was a member of Landmark Missionary Baptist Church in Clarksville.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Arthur Alan Davenport; her parents, B.J. and Marie Bryant Cremer; and a grandson, Tyler Davenport.

She is survived by three sons: Mark Alan Davenport and wife, Tina, of Lamar, Arkansas; Kevin Wayne Davenport and wife, Sherry, of Ozone, Arkansas; and Terence Adam Davenport and wife, Gina, of Washington; a daughter, Annie Marie Davenport Sampley and husband, Chris, of Ozark, Arkansas; a brother, Billy Gene Cremer of Van Buren, Arkansas; a sister, Cheryl Ann Pitts and husband, Dane, of Hartman, Arkansas; ten grandchildren, and one great-grandchild.

Visitation will be held from 2-4 p.m., Sunday, August 23, 2015, at Hardwicke Funeral Home Chapel in Clarksville, Arkansas.

Funeral Services will be held 10:00 a.m., Monday, August 24, 2015, at First Landmark Missionary Baptist Church in Clarksville, Arkansas, with Brother Doyle Caldwell officiating. Burial will follow at Hartman Cemetery in Hartman, Arkansas.

Pallbearers will be Zach Cremer, Jimmy Dorney, Ronnie Ashlock, Billy Teal, Dale Caldwell, and Bob Sparks. Honorary Pallbearers will be Dane Pitts, Chris Sampley, Randy Barmore, Robert Liptak, Jimmy Leavell, and Cody Pitts.
