Roy Thomas Davenport was born April 14, 1938, in Coal Hill, Arkansas, to the late Lonnie D. and Annie B. (Marvel) Davenport. He died on July 28, 2008, at Johnson Regional Medical Center in Clarksville, at the age of 70. Roy was a bricklayer by trade attended the Assembly of God Church, and was a Mason.

Tom is survived by his wife Rosalie (Reynolds) Davenport; one son, Frankie Paul Reynolds of Coal Hill, Arkansas; two sisters, June Joy Johnson of Cedar Falls, Iowa and Bonnie Bess McFadden of Hartman, Arkansas; one brother, Dallas Davenport, Jr. of Coal Hill, Arkansas; and one grandson, Matthew Paul Reynolds.

Tom is preceded in death by his parents, Lonnie D. and Annie B. (Marvel) Davenport; one daughter, Angela Rose Davenport, three sisters, Vera Sue Davenport, Lonita Ann Davenport, and Anna Lee Davenport; and one brother, Arthur Alan Davenport.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6-8 p.m., Friday, August 1, 2008. The funeral service will be at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, August 2, 2008, at the Roller-Cox Funeral Chapel in Clarksville, with Reverend Amos Pledger officiating. Burial will follow, with Masonic Honors, in the Hartman Cemetery, at Hartman, Arkansas.

Casket Bearers will be Jerry Estep, Larry Roberts, Alan Bryant, Billy Bert Reynolds, Kermit Warren, and Joe Mitchell Hurst.

Honorary Casket Bearers will be Joe Hoing, Fred Breedlove, L.D. Holland, James Smith, Raymond Roberts, Glan Drum, Don Woodford, and John Suitt.

All arrangements are under the direction of Roller-Cox Funeral Home of Clarksville.


Rosalie Davenport of Hartman, Arkansas, was born February 4, 1943, to her parents in Arkansas, and passed away August 24, 2015, in Ozark, Arkansas, at the age of 72. She was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star and of Sherwood Bowling Team.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Roy Tom Davenport; her parents, Fletcher and Wilda Ditton Reynolds; her daughter, Angela Rose Davenport; and a brother, Frank Reynolds.

She is survived by her brother, Robert Reynolds.

A graveside service will be held 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, August 26, 2015, at Hartman Cemetery in Hartman, Arkansas, with Reverend Amos Pledger officiating.
