Gladys Lorene Johnson, 99, of Hartman, died Tuesday, January 17, 2012 at her home. Born Friday, October 11, 1912, in Hartman to Thomas and Birdie Lancaster; she was a member of the Hartman Baptist Church and a homemaker.

Survivors include three sons: Tom (Louise) Johnson, Altus; Robert "Junior" (Wilma) Johnson, Ft. Smith; and Charles "Chig" Johnson, Hartman; two daughters: Frances "Tootle" Cohrs and companion, Burl McCartney, Clarksville, and Clara "B.B." (Don) Harkreader, Hartman. She is preceded in death by her father: Thomas Lancaster; mother: Birdie Beatrice (Marvel) Collier; husband: Arnold Forben Johnson; son: Hector Chapell Johnson; daughters: Liladean Johnson and Ruth Orlena Fultz; grandsons: Jerald Wayne Johnson, Earnest "Bud" Fultz, and Thomas Johnson, Jr.; daughter-in-law: Helen "Rene" Johnson.

Visitation will be 4-6 P.M., Sunday at Roller-Cox Funeral Home, Clarksville, AR. Pallbearers will be George Whittle, James Whittle, Willie Whittle, Paul Whittle, Donnie Harkreader, Rusty Johnson, and John Michael Johnson. Reverends Grady Glass, Tony Morgan, and Eugene Scarberry will conduct funeral services at 2:00 P.M., Monday at Hartman Baptist Church. Burial will be in Hartman Cemetery.
