David H. (Red) Ruston, 59, of Ozark died Monday, April 9, 2012, in Ozark.

Red worked as a lineman for many years, was a mail carrier, a commercial fisherman and worked for the Franklin County Road Department.

He was born Sept. 25, 1952, in Clarksville.

He was preceded in death by his father, Ervin Ruston; his mother, Margaret Smith Ruston; and his brother, Lloyd Ruston.

Funeral service will be Thursday at Shaffer Funeral Home with Brother Keith Dodson officiating. Burial will follow at Nichols Chapel.

He is survived by his son, Bronson Ruston and daughter-in-law, Tessa Ruston; and grandchildren, Ryan Hopper, Nathan Hopper, Andrew Hopper and Emma Katherine Ruston; his two sisters, Sue Chiolino (Paul) of Russellville, Alice Mainini of Stilwell, Okla.; his two nephews, Geno (Nina) Chiolino and Joel (Jana) Chiolino of Russellville; and a niece, Jill Millsap (John) of Ozark.

Pallbearers will be Phillip Smith, Danny Jones, Walter Turk, Gerald Parrish, Rhan Walker, Robert Parrish, Garrett Shepherd and Johnathan Millsap.

Honorary pallbearers will be Frank Medlock, Joe Powell, Paul, Geno and Joel Chiolino and John Millsap.

Red is also survived by many friends. When he was introduced to someone he always said, "Call me Red." He was a friend for life. He never forgot a name or a face. He was a great storyteller with a quick wit and sense of humor. He will be missed by many and not soon forgotten.
