Howard E. Armstrong, who resided in Branch, Arkansas, passed away Thursday, October 8, 2015 in Fort Smith, Arkansas.
He was born May 21, 1928 in Fort Worth, Texas to the late Herman Armstrong and Anna (Canady) Armstrong. He was 87 years old.

He was also preceded in death by his wife of over 51 years, Helen Lucille Armstrong.

Howard was a self-employed Crop Duster, a member of Charleston Masonic Lodge #155, Ozark Masonic Lodge, American Legion and Ratcliff First Baptist Church.

Funeral service will be 2:00 p.m. Monday, October 12, 2015 at Brotherton Funeral Home Chapel in Charleston, with the Rev. Shane Cooper and Rev. Don Corbitt officiating. Burial, with Masonic Rites, will be at Nichols Chapel Cemetery, located east of Ozark near Altus, under the direction of Brotherton Brothers Funeral Home and Flower Shop in Charleston.

He is survived by one daughter, Ruth Langley and husband, Preston of Branch; one step-son, Bob Duren and wife Martha of Lexa, Arkansas; five grandchildren, Michael Callan, Christina Callan, Susan Duren, Michael Duren, and Anjeannette Duren; three great-grandchildren, Richard Graham, Landon Pricer, and Mason Duren.

Pallbearers will be D. C. Holden, Reed Haynes, Charles Mainard, Ralph Ramos, Hugh Holden and Harold Conner.

Helen Lucille Armstrong, who resided in Branch, Arkansas, passed away Monday, January 26, 2015 at Greenhurst Nursing Center in Charleston.
She was born October 19, 1923 in Hampton, Arkansas to the late Allie Oscar Brown and Sallie (Evans) Brown. She was 91 years old.

She was also preceded in death by two brothers.

Helen was a homemaker and was a member of Ratcliff Baptist Church.

Funeral service will be 2:00 p.m. Thursday, January 29th, at Brotherton Funeral Home Chapel in Charleston, with the Rev. Don Corbitt officiating. Burial will be at Nichols Chapel Cemetery, located east of Ozark near Altus, under the direction of Brotherton Brothers Funeral Home and Flower Shop in Charleston.

She is survived by her husband of over 51 years, Howard E. Armstrong; one daughter, Ruth Langley and husband Preston of Branch; one son, Bob Duren and wife Martha of Lexa, Arkansas; five grandchildren, Susan Duren, Michael Duren, Anjeannette Duren, Michael Callan and Christina Callan; three great-grandchildren, Richard Graham, Mason Duren, and Landon Pricer.

Pallbearers will be Chris Pricer, Daniel Langley, James Langley, Joe Flanagan, Michael Duren, and Steve McCarley.
