Robert Olen Levi, 95, of North Little Rock, Arkansas, died Tuesday, June 16, 2015 in Ozark, Arkansas.
He was born November 12, 1919 in Alba, Texas to Earl Antoin and Myrtle Jane Adams Levi.
Robert was a retired U.S. Army Major and attorney for U.S. Air Force at Jacksonville Air Force Base.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Imogene West Levi, two brothers Willis Paul Levi and Virgil Levi, three sisters, Isabell Hendley, Gertrude Hanley, and Ellie Jackson.
During his military career with the US Army he served during WWII and the Korean war. He retired as a major after twenty years, then served as an attorney at the U.S. Air Force Base in Jacksonville, Arkansas until 1981. During his service he received six Battle Stars, Combat Medical Badge, Silver Star and Bronze Star with Oak Leaf Cluster for Gallantry in Action and Valor and Meritorious Service in WWII and Korean War. Robert accepted Jesus Christ as Savior in 2011.
He is survived by a sister, Gladys Gunter of Wylie, Texas, his brother-in-law Hubert West and sister-in-law Wilma Zolliecoffer, both of Ozark, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral service will be held at 10:00 AM Monday, June 22, 2015 at Shaffer Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Sonny Morgason officiating, and burial with military honors at Nichols Chapel Cemetery in Altus, under direction of Shaffer Funeral Home of Ozark.
Serving as pallbearers are Lee Morgason, Scott Morgason, Stephen Morgason, Richard Morgason, Sonny Morgason, and Sam Palidino. Serving as honorary pallbearers are Mark Gunter, Leslie Hanley, Delbert Harris, Paul Hendley, Gary Hendley, Michael Levi, Andrew Levi, Dwight Levi, David Levi, and Adam Levi.
