Joe Ann Burns, 82, of Ozark, Arkansas, died Tuesday, June 20, 2017 In Ozark.
She was born February 9, 1935 in Dawson Springs, Kentucky to Elmer and Orice Hankins Calvert.

She was a homemaker, former member of the Altus City Council, a member of the Order of the Eastern Star, and pass mother advisor of the Rainbow Girls.

Joe Ann is survived by her husband, Robert “Bud” Burns of Ozark; a son, Robert Scott Burns of Kilgore, Texas; a daughter, Cathy Burns of Ozark; two grandchildren, Joanne Brown of Atlanta, Georgia and Jason Brown of Ozark.

Serving as pallbearers are Jason and Frank Brown, Danny Fisher, Donnie Shaffer, James Kelley, and Dustin Powell.
Funeral service will be 2:00 PM Saturday, June 24, 2017 at Shaffer Funeral Home Chapel with Randy Boren officiating and burial at Nichols Chapel Cemetery in Altus under direction of Shaffer Funeral Home in Ozark.
