SPRINGDALE — Lorianne Gillespie, 24, of Springdale passed away June 15, 2014. She was born to Samuel Melvin and Lorraine Diane Gillespie on June 14, 1990, in Shreveport, La.

Lorianne graduated from Greenland High School in 2008 and from the University of Arkansas with a BS degree in biology/pre-med in 2012.

Lorianne had such a contagious smile and personable nature. She was kind and generous, and easily made friends with everyone she met.

She was known for her beautiful, auburn hair. Fittingly, her Indian name means, "Girl with Fire in her Hair," but her family called her "Bo." She would light up the room with her fun spirit and bubbly personality.

She loved spending time outdoors with her family, including wakeboarding and waterskiing at the lake and snowboarding in the winter.

She excelled in anything she set out to try. Her favorite thing was her dog, Taco, and they were inseparable.

Lorianne is survived by her parents, Sam and Lorraine; her brother, Van, and sister-in-law, Kimi, and nephew, Benjamin Baux.

A funeral will be held Saturday, June 21, at 11 a.m. at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 6738 Lynch's Prairie Cove in Springdale.

Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Nelson-Berna Funeral Home.
