Mr. Howard Lee Mayberry, 87 of Amarillo, Texas, passed away Monday September 1, 2014 in Amarillo, Texas.
He was born November 13, 1926 in Enid, Oklahoma to Harreled and Olive (Clark) Mayberry.
Mr. Howard serviced in the United States Army in WWII and Korea, he was a teacher, a tucker driver and enjoyed woodworking and playing stinners.
Mr. Mayberry is preceded in death by his parents and wife Beulah Hanshen Mayberry.
He is survived by his step-daughter, Judith Sternberg and husband Wayne of Panhandle, Texas and one nephew Gary Mayberry of Tahlequah, Oklahoma; numerous nieces, nephews, and many other family and friends.
Visitation will be Friday September 5, 2014 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Roller-Cox Funeral Home. Mr. Mayberry’s Funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, September 6, 2014 at Roller-Cox Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Charlie Boone officiating.
Burial will follow in Liberty Hill Cemetery with Gary Mayberry and Jason Cook serving as Pallbearers.
