Daniel Travis Pelts of Hunt, Arkansas, was born August 29, 1977 in Clarksville, Arkansas, and passed away October 27, 2016 in Clarksville, at the age of 39.

He worked for the Arkansas Highway and Transportation Department, was the Fire Chief for RFD #8, and a member of Hunt Tabernacle for 21 years.

He is preceded in death by his mother, Sheila Jo Pelts, and a sister-in-law, Angel Pelts.

He is survived by his wife, Jacqueline Louise Pelts of Hunt; a son, Ricky Joe Pelts of Hunt; his father, Benny Arlis Pelts and wife, Karren C., of Hunt; two brothers, Jonathan Andrew Pelts of Coal Hill, Arkansas and Donald Ivan Pelts and wife, Mandy, of Hartman, Arkansas; a step-brother, Robert Moore of Alma, Arkansas; and a step-sister, Terry Dodge and husband, Mike, of Lamar, Arkansas.

Visitation will be held 6-8 p.m., Thursday, November 3, 2016, at Hardwicke Funeral Home Chapel in Clarksville.

Funeral Service will be held 2:00 p.m., Friday, November 4, 2016, at Hardwicke Funeral Home Chapel in Clarksville with Reverend Leo Villines, Reverend John Hodge, and Reverend Amos Pledger officiating.

Burial will follow in Liberty Hill Cemetery in Hunt, Arkansas.

Pallbearers will be Larry Riley, Jeff Riley, Mike Bean, Dean Holman, Johnny W. Rice, John Yates, Jesse Johnson, and Lacey Foster. Honorary Pallbearers will be the RFD #8 Firefighters: Cody Parker, Dakota Parker, Eugene Headings, John Mancillas, J.R. Harris, Ken Neumeir, Charlotte Waterman, Kolton Allen, Lance Carr, Wyatt Jones, Tabatha Jones, Abigail Johnson, Chad Bean, and Clark James; and his nieces and nephew
