Julia Estelle "Dovie" Davis, 104, of Ozark, Arkansas, died, Sunday, July 29, 2012 in Ozark. She was born January 1, 1908 in White Oak, Franklin County, Arkansas to Thomas Marvin Davis and Permelia Antoinette Townsend Davis.

She was preceded in death by her parents and twelve brothers and sisters, Frank Davis, Louis Thomas Davis, Alfred Davis, James Elmer "Buck" Davis, John H. Davis, Hice Davis, Mary O. Davis Mason, Ernestine Audie Louella Davis Jones Nettles, Lenos Mae Davis Key, Ethel Mae Davis McCartney, Minnie Marie Davis Blanscet and Lucy Mae Davis; several nieces and nephews.

Funeral service will be held at 10:00 AM, Thursday, August 2, 2012 at Shaffer Funeral Home with Reverend Ted Darling and Coy Doss officiating with burial at Gar Creek Cemetery in Ozark, Arkansas under the direction of Shaffer Funeral Home.

She is survived by sixteen nieces; ten nephews and numerous grand and great grand nieces and nephews.

The family will visit with friends 6:00 – 8:00 PM, Wednesday, August 1, 2012 at Shaffer Funeral Home 2315 W. Commercial in Ozark.

Pallbearers are Gordon Goodwin, Garth John David Goodwin, Derrick McCartney, Donnie Gresham, Tony Stover and Travis McCartney and Robert Hall. Honorary pallbearers are Ralph E. Davis, Jimmy D. McCartney, Kenneth Dean McCartney, Jerry Don McCartney, Hubert H. Davis, John Thomas Key, Harold Leroy Key and Robert Charles Key.
