"Pete" Barton age 72, of Hot Springs AR, died Thursday; born in Cecil AR to Charley Paul and Izola Powers Barton; graduate of County Line HS; BS Degree from AR Tech University; Masters Degree from U of AR; retired from US ARMY as SFC with twenty eight plus years of service; Regional Director with the AR State Parks System; co owner of Lawn Doctor of Fort Smith/Van Buren; member of the Hot Springs Baptist Church.
Predeceased by father, grandparents, and father in law Richard Carpenter.
Survivors include wife of forty four years Sharon Jo, sons Blake and Derek (Jennifer) Barton, two grandchildren, mother, brother Kenneth (Betty) Barton, sisters Linda Barton and Betty (Ron) Moreton, mother in law Oleata Carpenter, brother in law Richard (Charlotte) Carpenter Jr, two sisters in law, many cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends.
Graveside services Tuesday, with full military honors.
