David Arthur Burkes, 54, of Altus, AR died Monday, September 27, 2010 in Altus. He was a Turkey farmer and a US Army veteran. He was born December 18, 1955 in Indianapolis, IN. to Arthur Burkes and Dorothy Gravatt Burkes.
He is survived by his parents Arthur & Dorothy Burkes of Union, MS; his wife Kate of Bentonville, AR; 3 daughters: Laura Burkes of Houston, TX; Corrianna Burkes Childers of Bolivar, MO; and Sarah Burkes of the home; a son, Jonathan Burkes of the home; 2 sisters: Cathy Burkes Spears of MS; and Elizabeth Burkes Watness, GA; 3 Brothers: Ted Burkes of Indianapolis, IN; Stan Burkes of FL; & Jeff Burkes of AZ; and one grandchild.
