Gladys Lucille Sampley Jones, 75, of Alix, Arkansas, went to be with her Lord and Savior on September 10, 2016 in Fort Smith, Arkansas.
Gladys was born in Alix on May 15, 1941 to John and Opal Yother Sampley.
She was a retired LPN and a member of Full Gospel Temple in Ozark.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a sister Elizabeth Osborn; and two brothers, Henry and Ernest Sampley.
She is survived by her husband of fifty-seven years, Harbert Jones of Alix; son Randy Jones and wife Patty of Coal Hill, Arkansas, and son Conway Jones and wife Deanna of Ozark, Arkansas; six grandchildren, Bryan, Kaylie, Bradley, and Brandon Jones, Stephanie Sampley and Alisha Thompson; ten great grandchildren, Heith, Bryant and Wyatt Jones, Marlea Carpenter-Jones, Layden Schouweiler, Annie, Holly and Noah Samplely, and Gracie and Lathen Thompson.
Funeral service will be held at 10:00 AM Tuesday, September 13, 2016 at Shaffer Funeral Home Chapel with Brother Donnie Simpson officiating and burial at Houston Cemetery in Alix under direction of Shaffer Funeral Home of Ozark.
Serving as pallbearers are Jody, Don, and Ronnie Sampley, Kevin Thompson, Richard Brice, and Beau Williams.
