HINDSVILLE — Roy Dean Blakemore, 69, of Hindsville, went to be with the Lord on Sept. 4, 2012, at The VA Medical Center in Little Rock. He was born Dec. 26, l942, in Springdale to Eldon Hug and Beulah Frances Prichard Blakemore. He was a United States Navy veteran serving during the Korean conflict. Roy was a member of House of Worship and Zion Grange. He was also owner and operator of B&B Plumbing.
He was preceded in death by one son, Roy Allen Blakemore; three brothers; and two sisters.
He is survived by his wife, Linda Webb Blakemore of the home; four sons, Alex Dean Blakemore of Wesley, Brian Eldon Blakemore of Farmington, Roger D. Oldenburgh of Bella Vista and Kevin Ray Oldenburgh of Lowell; two daughters, Lisa Lynne McCoy of Springdale and Lori Ann Moseley of Lowell; three sisters, Barbara Dunham, Katie Collins and Rema Schenski, all of Springdale; nine grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 6, 2012, at Sisco Funeral Chapel of Springdale, with the Rev. Bill Williams officiating. Burial will be in Zion Cemetery.
Visitation will be Thursday from noon till service time.
