SPRINGDALE - Decatur J. "DJ" Pitre Sr., 83, of Springdale passed away June 19, 2016, in Springdale. He was born May 10, 1933, in Houma, La. He was in management in the Oil Industry and a member of St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church in Rogers. He served in the United States Navy.
Preceded in death by his mother; his father, Henry Pitre and wife Marie; his first wife, Regie Nell Pitre. He is survived by his wife, Delores Jean Pitre of the home; three sons, Decatur Pitre Jr. and wife Cindy of Grantville, Ga.; Glenn Pitre Sr. and wife Jennifer of Houma, La., and Dwayne Pitre and wife Carol of Baton Rouge, La.; five stepsons, Randy Hughes and wife Sue of Rogers; Greg Hughes and wife Chris of Sorrento, Louisiana; Clint Dornan and wife Gayle of Rogers; Kirk Dornan and wife Debbie of Springdale; Russell Dornan and wife Mia of Port Neches, Texas; one step daughter Julie Hale of Bella Vista; one half brother Benton Pitre and wife Twyla; 17 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.
Private interment in the Fayetteville National Cemetery. Arrangements by Benton County Funeral Home, 306 N. 4th, Rogers. Online condolences to www.bentoncountyfuneralhome.com.
