Jim passed away peacefully on Friday, December 30, 2016 at age 83 years. He was born September 30, 1933 in Arkansas City, Kansas to the late Patrick Thomas and Lola Faye Roberts. Jim was married to Nancy Shuler on December 26, 1959 and celebrated their 57th wedding anniversary days before his passing.
Jim worked in sales in the Printing and Advertising industry in Wichita and Tulsa. He lived in Tulsa for 27+ years and retired in Rogers to enjoy his favorite hobbies; golfing and fishing. Jim proudly served in the U.S. Army and graduated from Wichita State University.
Along with his wife, Nancy Shuler Roberts, at home in Rogers, he is survived by four adoring children: Steve Roberts of Euless, Texas, Andrea (Stan) Tripp of Sugar Land, Texas, Lisa Palmer of Austin, Texas and Kerri (Jeff) Shelley of Shawnee, Kansas. Five grandchildren: Michael and Chris Moragne, Ben and Noah Hall and Brenham Palmer. Three siblings: Michael, Tony and Cynthia Roberts.
Jim was predeceased by a brother, Patrick Roberts and a granddaughter, Kelsey Roberts.
Funeral mass will be celebrated on Thursday, January 5, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church, 1416 W. Poplar St., Rogers, Arkansas. Interment will follow in St. Vincent Cemetery. Jim's family will receive visitors at Benton County Funeral Home, 306 N. 4th in Rogers on Wednesday, January 4th from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Please share an online condolence with the family at: www.bentoncountyfuneralhome.com.
