Garrie Lee Eaton, 64, of Ozark, Arkansas died Saturday, February 20, 2016 in Fort Smith, Arkansas.
Garrie was born May 22, 1951 in Kansas City, Kansas to George Edward and Mary Crable Eaton.

He was a member of the Baptist faith, USMC veteran, recipient of the Purple Heart and retired mechanic for Dee’s Tire in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.

He is preceded in death by one brother Michael Eaton, and one sister Eddie Ruth Roth.

Garrie is survived by his wife Evelyn Bowman Eaton, two sons; Robert Eaton and wife Angie of Kansas City, James Eaton of Calumet, Oklahoma, one daughter Amy Samouris and husband Steven Dallas, Texas, two step children; Stacie Ponder and Brian of Hobbs, New Mexico, Don Simpson Jr. of Ozark, 10 grandchildren, two great grandchildren, three brothers; George and Robin Eaton of Kansas City, David Eaton and wife Deanna of Independence, Missouri, two sisters; Kathy Roberts and husband Billy of Lovington, New Mexico and Patty Eaton of Missouri.

Serving as honorary pallbearers; Josh and Jordan Ponder, Billy Roberts, Bill and Elvin Bowman.

Memorial service will be held at 2:00 PM Saturday, February 27, 2016 at the Full Gospel Temple with Sister Pearlie Bowman officiating, with interment at Mt. View Cemetery in Ozark, under the direction of Shaffer Funeral Home.
