J T "Jake" Boyd, 95, of Caulksville died Tuesday, Feb. 5, 2013 in Paris.
He was born June 3, 1917, in Bloomer to the late Robert Lee Boyd and Mary Etta (Crouch) Boyd. He was 95 years old.

He was also preceded in death by his wife, Virginia "Punkin" Boyd; his son, James W. "Jim" Boyd; one daughter, Jo Ann Stiles, and his sister, Lillian Boyd.

J T was owner and operator of Boyd Trailer Sales in Caulksville. He was a trader, farmer, and rancher. In his younger years, he was owner and operator of Boyd Construction Company. J.T. was a WWII Navy veteran, and member of Caulksville Cumberland Presbyterian Church.

Funeral will be 2 pm Friday at Caulksville Cumberland Presbyterian Church with burial with military honors at Caulksville Cemetery under the direction of Brotherton Brothers Funeral Home in Charleston.
Officiating the service will be the Rev. Bill Van Meter.

He is survived by a daughter, Linda Koch of Caulksville; two brothers, Charles and David Boyd, both of Caulksville; six grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Johnny Culver, Adolf Forst, Calvin Johnson, Haskell Casalman, Walter Turk, John Beasley and Chuck Parsons.

Honorary pallbearers will be Todd Patterson, Sonny Cole, Robert Hand, and the employees of Korner Cafe in Caulksville.
