BELLA VISTA — Seaman 1st Class John B. Gibbs of the United States Navy passed away on Jan. 29, 2014, in Bella Vista, Ark., at the age of 90.
He was preceded in death by his son, Larry Gibbs; and his brothers and sisters, Ervin, Gene, Naomi and Wanda.
After leaving the Navy, John took a position with Sears in the repair services department. Soon be was a branch manager followed quickly with a promotion to a regional services manager in Dallas, Texas.
John is survived by his loving wife, Ethel of 72 years; by two sons, Gary (Brenda) and Steve (Sue); eight grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
Please join us in a celebration of John's life on Saturday, Feb. 8, at 10 a.m. at the United Lutheran Church in Bella Vista.
Arrangements are by the Bella Vista Funeral Home & Crematory, 2258 Forest Hills Blvd., Bella Vista, Ark.
