James Galeard Cox Sr., 79, of Ozark died Friday, March 23, 2012, in Ozark.
He was born Feb. 18, 1933, in Corning to James Arnold and Anna Myrle Meredith Cox.
He was a Methodist, a veteran, a retired salesman for Steiger Tractor and Big Bud Tractor Co., and owned and operated Ozark Machinery.
Graveside service will be 3 p.m. Monday at Highland Cemetery in Ozark under the direction of Shaffer Funeral Home.
He is survived by his wife, Virginia White Cox of Ozark; two sons, James G. Cox Jr., of Ozark and Mitchell Dale Cox, Sr. of Tombstone, Arizona; three sisters, Gail McCain of Mason, Tennessee, Alice Anderson of German Town, Tennessee and Joyce Tiner of McCrory, Arkansas; one brother, Arnold Cox of Marysville, Tennessee; one grandchild, Mitchell Cox, Jr.
