Barbara Jeanne Tomlinson Garner of Pineville, Arkansas
Barbara Jeanne Tomlinson Garner, daughter of the late Tommy Tomlinson and Marie Ortega Tomlinson, was born May 7, 1940 in San Diego, California. She departed this life March 16, 2017 in Calico Rock, Arkansas at the age of 76 years, 10 months and 9 days. She was united in marriage to Ardell Cleason “Ace” Garner February 19, 1995 in Violet Hill, Arkansas. She spent her life as a loving daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother, homemaker and friend. She was very proud of her 45 year waitressing career. She spent 25 years working at the Embarcedero in San Diego. The last 25 years were spent in Calico Rock at the Leatherwood and Don Quixote's. She was baptized Catholic but worshipped non-denominational Christian.
Barbara is survived by one daughter and son-in-law: Kim and John Yutsus of Dolph; one stepdaughter: Tonya Garner of Conway; three siblings: Steven Tomlinson of Tucson, Arizona, Leonard Tomlinson of San Diego, California and Janice Demmerle of Virginia Beach, Virginia; two grandchildren: Joshua Yutsus and wife Sieria of Mountain Home and Paige Alyssa Yutsus of Conway and a host of other relatives and many good friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband and one brother: Tommy Tomlinson, Jr.
Memorial service will be held Saturday, March 25, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. at Eddie’s Family Funeral Home in Calico Rock.
