ROGERS— Robert (Bob) C. Ellis, 82, of Rogers passed away Wednesday, Oct. 5, 2016, at Jamestown Nursing Home and Rehab. He was born Feb. 12, 1934, in Des Moines, Iowa, to Clarence and Gladys Regnet Ellis.

Bob graduated from East High School and attended Drake University.

He proudly served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War, and also served in the National Guard while living in Iowa.

Bob married the love of his life, Dorothy M. Ellis and they had 40 wonderful years together before she passed away on Oct. 15, 2010.

After 20 years of driving for Flynn Dairy, Bob retired. Then he worked with the Des Moines Public Schools system for over 23 years.

After retiring to Rogers, he and his wife, Dorothy ushered at all the sports activities at the University of Arkansas for 21 years. He also volunteered and served the patients at Circle of Life Hospice and Highlands Oncology for two years until he became ill.

Bob was a member of Peace Lutheran Church where he received his "Stephen Ministry" certificate.

He is preceded in death by his parents; his loving wife, Dorothy and one brother, Dan Ellis.

Bob is survived by his family and good friends.

A visitation will be held from 11 a.m.-noon, Monday, Oct. 10, 2016, at Stockdale-Moody Funeral Services, 2898 W Walnut, Rogers, Ark., 72756.

At noon we will proceed to Rogers City Cemetery for a graveside service with Pastor James Longmate officiating and full military honors.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Jude's Children Hospital.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Stockdale-Moody Funeral Services in Rogers. Online condolences may be made to stockdalefuneral.com.

ROGERS — Dorothy Marie Ellis, 75, of Rogers, Arkansas, departed this life Oct. 15, 2010, at Mercy Medical Center. She was born Dec. 24, 1934 in Carr, Colo., to Oren Clements Sr. and Lula Devilbiss Clements.

Dorothy, known as "Dot" by her friends, moved from Carr, Colo., to Earlam, Iowa, as a child, and attended high school in Winterest Iowa, where she participated in girls basketball. She worked 20 years for Iowa Blue Cross Blue Shield, and 20 years for the Des Moines, Iowa School District. She was involved in the Stephen Ministry at Peace Lutheran Church and volunteered at United Way, in a food pantry and loved to help people.

She is preceded in death by her parents; a brother, Oren Clements, Jr., and a sister, Edith Koch.

Dorothy leaves behind to cherish her memory her loving husband, Robert; she is also, survived by brothers Jim, Fred, and Tom Clements; and her sisters, Mary Golightly, Ruth Sexton, Elsie Webster, Nillie Bendal, Lavone Morgan, Sara Barber and Beverly Towry.

Visitation will be noon to 1:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 20, 2010, at Rollins Funeral Home, with graveside services following at 2 p.m. at Rogers Cemetery. Rev. Richard Solberg will officiate.

In lieu of flowers, the memorials should be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
