Marion "Bay" Zanuel Ragsdell the son of Harry Ragsdell and Juanita (Getson) Ragsdell. Joyce the daughter of Everette Neece and Pearl (Oldham) Neece. Joyce's second husband was Eldon Simmons.

IMBODEN -- Marion Zanuel "Bay" Ragsdell, 70, of Imboden died Thursday, Oct. 14, at NEA Medical Center at Jonesboro. Born at O'Kean, he lived in Illinois prior to returning to the area 34 years ago.

He was a self-employed entrepreneur, an Army veteran of the Korean War and a member of Pleasant Grove Baptist Church at Annieville.

Survivors include his wife, Joyce Neece Ragsdell of the home; one daughter, Marian Rene Downing of Annieville; two sons, Gregory Allen Ragsdell of Imboden and Joseph Aaron Ragsdell of Pocahontas; two brothers, Nathaniel Ragsdell of O'Kean and Ronnie Ragsdell of Delaplaine; six grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Harry and Juanita Getson Ragsdell; one son, Randall Ragsdell; one sister; and two brothers.

Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at House-Gregg Funeral Home at Walnut Ridge, with Jerry Clements and Randy Scott officiating.

Burial will be in Pleasant Grove Cemetery.

Active pallbearers will be Harelon Ragsdell Jr., Robbie Alderson, Nicholas Ragsdell, Eddie Hollaway, Vincent Ragsdell and Billy G. Downing.

Honorary pallbearers will include Marion Ray, Bill Aaron and Phillip Sullivan.

Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Joyce Simmons February 13, 1936 - May 02, 2017

Joyce A. Simmons, 81, of Imboden passed away Tuesday, May 2, 2017 at her home. She was born on February 13, 1936 at Clover Bend, Arkansas to Everette and Pearl Oldham Neece. She married Eldon Simmons on June 20, 2006 in Annieville. She was a member of Pleasant Grove Baptist Church in Annieville, and owner/operator of Joy's Drive-In in Imboden for thirty six years.

She was preceded in death by her parents; first husband, Marion Zanuel Ragsdell; son, Randell Lee Ragsdell; sister, Delois Leonberger, and grandson, Aidan Zanuel Ragsdell.

Survivors include her husband, Eldon Simmons of the home; daughter, Marion Rene Downing (Bobby) of Annieville; sons, Gregory Allen Ragsdell of Imboden and Joseph Ragsdell (Tammy) of Pocahontas; step sons, Gary Simmons of Minturn and Mike Simmons (Janet) of Jonesboro; brothers, Eldridge Neece of Pocahontas and Eugene Neece of Rockford, Illinois; sister, Wilda Johnson of Marmaduke; grandchildren, Charity, Tiffany, Danell, Alex, Adam, and Aaron; step grandchildren, Kevin and Sarah; great grandchildren, Rowan, Maya, Max, Cameron, Hudsen, and three step great grandchildren.

Visitation will be Saturday, May 6, 2017 from 10 am - 11 am at Pleasant Grove Baptist Church in Annieville. Funeral will follow at 11 am with Jerry Clements officiating. Burial will be at Pleasant Grove Cemetery at Annieville under the direction of Cox Funeral Home in Walnut Ridge.
