George Payne, 96, of Camden died Tuesday in a local nursing home. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday at Proctors Chapel. Burial will be in Liberty Cemetery near Louann by Proctor Funeral Home. He was a member of the Church of Christ. Mr. Payne is survived by his wife, Mrs. Mollie McRee Payne, Camden; two daughters, Mrs. Lela Johnson, El Dorado and Mrs. Alice Williamson, Camden; one grandchild, three great-grandchildren, and two great-great grandchildren.
