ROBBINS, Mrs. Noah W. (KINDLEY) - Mrs. Noah W. Robbins, a resident of the Bentonville community for over 70 years, died at the family home five miles northeast of town on Wednesday, June 17, 1931. She had been ill for some time and for the past two weeks had been gradually growing worse. Funeral services will be held at the home Friday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock, the Rev. R.S. Hayden, pastor of the M.E. Church, South officiating. Burial will be made by the side of her husband in the city cemetery. Mr. Robbins passed away eight years ago. Mrs. Robbins was born near Searcy, Arkansas in 1852. Her parents moved from White County to Benton County when she was six years old and took up a large tract of land on Sugar Creek. Here Mrs. Robbins grew to womanhood and was married to Noah W. Robbins June 13, 1877. They built their home on an adjoining farm and raised a family of five children. The three eldest, Charles A., Park E. and Henry T. Robbins have passed on. She is survived by a son, Homer C. Robbins of the home and a daughter, Mrs. George C. Lipscomb, of Ft. Worth, Texas; a sister, Mrs. E.S. Grammer of Seattle, Wash. and a brother, George C. Kindley of Ocean Springs, Miss. She is also survived by several grandchildren and a large number of friends to mourn her death. Mrs. Robbins, when a young woman, professed her faith in Christ and united with the Cumberland Presbyterian Church of this city. The passing of this good woman takes from us another of those pioneer mothers that did so much toward the building of Benton County.
