Bentonville — Henry Rennie Matkins Sr., 73, a retired farmer, upholsterer and florist, died Sunday morning in the local hospital. Born near Centerton, July 23, 1892 he retired in 1962 and was a member of the First Baptist Church of Bentonville.
He is survived by the widow, Mrs. Margaret Williams Matkins of the home; a son, Henry Rennie Jr., of Bentonville; two daughters, Mrs. Elizabeth Ann Colley of Vandalia, Mo.; and Mrs, Virginia Nelson of Dexter, N.M.; a brother, R. E. Matkins of Mitchell, S.D.; two sisters, Mrs. Olen Jackson of Rogers and Mrs. Ralph German of Bentonville and eight grandchildren.
Funeral service will be held 3 p.m. Wednesday in the chapel of Burns Funeral Home. Burial will he in Bentonville Cemetery.
