Alexander Hawkins Jordan, aged 92 of Rt. 1 Camden died Sunday night in a local hospital. He had made his home in Ouachita County for the past sixty-five years and was a Baptist. Mr. Jordan is survived by five daughters, Mrs. Rosie Weeks, Mrs. Carl Ross, and Mrs. Jack Dean all of Camden, Mrs. W. J. Vaughan of El Dorado and Mrs. L. C. Wiggs of Tulsa, Oklahoma; three sons, Holice Jordan of Macon, Ga., Rev. Sam Jordan and D. H. (Jack) Jordan of Camden; three sisters, Mrs. Annie Poss, Mrs. Eunice Cooley and Mrs. Eugenie Bonds all of Nashville; one brother, Ernest Jordan of Ashdown; nineteen grandchildren and fourteen great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 2 p.m. at Proctor's Chapel with burial in Crane Cemetery. Proctor Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. (Camden News - December 4, 1967)
