ROGERS — Angela "Angie" Faye Ellzey (41) went home to be with her Lord with her beloved husband at her side in Bentonville, Ark., on Monday, Aug. 8, 2016. They had recently celebrated 20 years of marriage.

Angie was a sixth generation Texan, born in Taylor, Texas, to Brenda Kay (Kinsey) and Albert J. Vahrenkamp on July 1, 1975. She married Kenneth Wayne Ellzey in Houston, Texas, on July 27, 1996, and they began their journey serving the Lord together.

Angie was a pastor's wife who discipled and encouraged many women in their walks with Christ. She was enabled to live out her favorite book in the Bible, the book of Acts, serving the Lord in Bolivia, South America by her husband's side for nine years, until returning to the United States in 2014, Angie was devoted to her children and their training to love and serve the Lord their God with all their hearts.

She was an avid writer and speaker. She spoke vividly about those things important to her which were glorifying to her Lord, Jesus Christ. Her poetry touched many lives far beyond those with whom she had any acquaintance. Her life verse was Philippians 4:11: "Not that I speak in respect of want: for I have learned, in whatsoever state I am, therewith to be content." Her life embodied this verse, accepting those things which she could not change in order that she might be changed through Him.

Angie was preceded in death by her mother-in-law, Charlotte Ellzey. A poem by Angie was devoted to Charlotte in her passing.

Angie is survived by her husband, Kenneth Wayne Ellzey of Rogers, Ark.; a daughter, Kinsey Maycayla; and three sons, Michael Garrick, Kenneth Matthew, and Nicolas Steven Ellzey; parents, Brenda Kay Landino, of San Saba, Texas, and Albert J. Vahrenkamp of Austin, Texas; two sisters, Lori Kay (Damon) Johnson of San Saba, Texas; Lisa Ann (Jim) Kolz also of San Saba, Texas; she's also survived by aunts Billie Whaley, Sharon Bartholemew, and June Renick and an uncle, Jerry Kinsey; six nieces, two nephews, two great-nieces and two great-nephews, and numerous cousins.

Visitation is at 9:30 a.m. and funeral services will begin at 11 a.m. both to be held at Colonial Baptist Church at 1599 W. Olive Street in Rogers, Ark., on Saturday, Aug. 13, 2016; Pastor Claud Slate officiating. Burial will follow at Bentonville Cemetery at 400 SW F.
