Estel Howerton Barnes Sisco, 94, of Mtn. View entered into rest of October 23, 2011 in Calico Rock, Arkansas.
Estel was born September 21, 1917 in Paragould, Arkansas to John and Martha E. (Morrow) Howerton.
Mrs. Sisco is survived by her son Marshall Barnes and his wife Delma of Mtn. View, daughter-in-law Margaret Barnes of Beebe, 10 grandchildren Walter (Jean) Barnes of Beebe, Deward Junior (Kathy) Barnes of Humphrey, Jeff (Tina) Barnes of Melbourne, Robert Barnes of Melbourne, Keith (Jennie) Barnes of Jacksonville, Kim (Eddie) Williams of Cabot, Ken Barnes of Stuttgart, Dirk (Sherry) Cottrell of Pine Bluff, Zetta Beliew of Marshall and Sid Cottrell of Little Rock; 24 great-grandchildren and 15 great-great-grandchildren and a host of other loving relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents John and Martha Howerton; husbands Walter Barnes and Dave Sisco; son, Deward Barnes, a grandson, three brthers, a sister, and three great-great-grandchildren.
Mrs. Sisco owned and operated the IGA store in Humphrey, Arkansas for several years. She was a member of the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses. In her lifetime, she was a seamstress, a wonderful cook, loved to go fishing, traveling, and working in her garden. Her family knew her as a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, great-great-grandmother, sister and aunt.
There is no visitation.
Graveside service is 2 p.m., Wednesday, October 26, 2011 at Flatwoods Cemetery, Mtn. View with Bro. G.W. Garner officiating.
Honorary pallbearers are Ken Barnes, Keith Barnes, Walter Barnes, Junior Barnes, Jeff Barnes and Robert Barnes.
Roller Crouch Funeral Home, Mtn. View is in charge of the arrangements.
