Johnie Fredrick Wilbanks departed this life on Feb. 5, 2044. He was born Oct. 30, 1932, in Pontiac, Mo. Johnie was the son of William "Willie" Wilbanks and Eva May McNeil Wilbanks.

He is survived by his loving wife of 35 years, Nell Froud Wilbanks of the home; one daughter, Karen Dorsey of Huntsville; one son, Mike Wilbanks of Fayetteville; two grandsons, Colton Wilbanks and Cole Dorsey; one daughter-in-law, Lora Bona Wilbanks; two brothers, Eldon Wilbanks and wife Patsy of Owasso, Okla., and Max Wilbanks and wife Margie of Flippin; two sisters, Pat Parnell and husband Hubert of Flippin and Blanche Dickey of Springfield, Mo.; one sister-in-law, Neville Wilbanks of Naches, Wash.; several nieces and nephews, numerous loved ones and a host of wonderful friends.

He was preceded in death by his father, mother and a brother, Travis Wilbanks; his father-in-law, the Rev. Darrel Froud; mother-in-law, Hilma Froud; brother-in-law, Lee Froud.

Johnie was a member of White Rock Light of Faith Church. He graduated from Flippin High School. He served in the US. Nary and alter completing his tour of duty, attended the University of Arkansas in Fayetteville. He then worked for Southwestern Bell Telephone Co., retiring after 38 years and four months of service. He also worked as a greeter at the Bentonville Wal-Mart Supercenter for two years.

Services will be at 1 p.m. Monday, Feb. 9 at the Light of Faith Church on Arkansas 16 west in Fayetteville. The Rev. Billy Martin, the Rev. W.C. Blanton and the Rev. Doug Parnell will officiate.

Burial will be in Farmington Cemetery under the direction of Moore's Chapel in Fayetteville. The family will greet friends from 4 to 6 p.m. Sunday at Moore's.
