FAYETTEVILLE — Michael Lewis Bledsoe, 28, of Fayetteville, died Saturday, Feb. 21, 2009, at Washington Regional Medical Center. He was born Dec. 20, 1980, at Fort Riley, Kan., the son of James Owen Bledsoe Jr. and Peggy Lynn Morris Bledsoe.

Michael was a devoted husband, a loving son and grandson, a giving brother and uncle and generous friend. He had a big heart and was an avid Razorback fan and loved the outdoors. He was a member of Calvary Baptist Church and was an employee of Coca-Cola. He will be greatly missed by family, friends and all who knew him. Michael loved life and we know that his spirit will continue on in heaven.

He is survived by his wife, Sara Knight Bledsoe; his parents, James and Peggy Bledsoe of Fayetteville; two brothers, James Bledsoe III and wife Kim of Farmington, Scottie Bledsoe, who is serving in the U.S. Army in Iraq: one sister, Kathy Haupt and husband Jim of Chicago; paternal grandmother Maxine Bledsoe of Fayetteville; maternal grandmother Eleanor Northrup of Rochester, N.Y.; three nephews, Tyler and Bryan Bledsoe and Mitch Haupt: one niece, Madeline Haupt.

Services will be held at 10 a.m. Friday at Calvary Baptist Church. Burial will be in Farmington Cemetery, under the direction of Moore's Chapel.

Visitation will be 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday at Moore's Chapel.

Officiating will be the Rev. Phil Misenheimer.
