July 18, 1913 - July 15, 1966
Mrs. Ruby Mae Claer, 52, of Blanchard, La., died Friday afternoon in a Shreveport, La., hospital following a short illness. She had lived in Blanchard for the past eight years. She was a native of Carthage, Mo. She was a member of the Homer Baptist Church in Ada, Okla. Survivors include her husband, Johnnie W. Claer of Blanchard; a daughter, Miss Beverly Dee Claer of the home; a son, Gary Claer, also of the home; four sisters, Mrs. Charlotte Russell of El Dorado, the Rev. Ella Tappana of Colorado Springs, Colo.; Mrs. Lon Kilgore of Webb City, Mo., and Mrs. O. L. Pearson of Smackover. Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Sunday at the Blanchard Methodist Church with the Rev. F. M. Stage officiating. Interment will be in the Smackover Memorial Park Cemetery in Smackover under the direction of Rose-Neath Funeral Home of Shreveport. Graveside services will be at 4:40 p.m. Sunday at the Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Tommy Pearson, Floyd Pearson, Richard Russell, Billy Claer, Tommy Ezzell, R. G. Claer, Harold Judy and J. T. Williams. (The El Dorado Times - July 16, 1966)
