Mattie Louise Fancher Young Waddy was born to the late Isaac Fancher, Sr. and Roberta Streeter Fancher in Eureka Springs, Arknasas of December 18, 1932. Mattie L. Waddy moved from this earthly home to her heavenly home on February 4, 2015. She lived in Eureka Springs, Arkansas, and later moved to Chicago, Illinois, then to Kensett, Arkansas where she lived until her death. She was a member of Centennial Baptist church where she was a member and served faithfully. She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Vincent Waddy; one brother, Isaac Fancher, Jr., two sisters, Lavern Jones and Leona Fremon; and other close relatives, Doris Stone, Lahue Crow, Venola Brewer, Gertrude Brew, Ester Morrow and Eritha Bass. She leaves to carry her legacy two nieces, Shirley Boone of St. Louis, Mo., and Jacquelyn Harris of Gilbert, Arizona; and a host of nieces, cousins and friends. Funeral services are Saturday, February 14 at 11:00 a.m. at Centennial Missionary Baptist Church, Kensett. Visitation is from 10 until 11 before the service.
