Eddie Edward Crumpler, 56, Smackover building contractor, died in an El Dorado hospital Thursday about 9 p.m. after a short illness. A resident of Smackover for the last 13 years, Mr. Crumpler was born at Village Aug. 9, 1909, the son of Addie Thirdgill and Miller Crumpler. He was a member of Lillidale Methodist Church. Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Mary Hobby Crumpler; five sons, Eddie Crumpler, Jr., Larry Crumpler, Delbert Crumpler, Ronnie Crumpler and Terry Crumpler, all of Smackover; two daughters, Mrs. Frances Fuller of El Dorado and Miss Kathy Crumpler of Smackover; his mother, Mrs. Miller Crumpler of Stephens; four grandchildren; three brothers, Paul Crumpler of Smackover, Roy Crumpler of Magnolia and Agee Crumpler of Stephens; and a sister, Mrs. Clarence Young of Stephens. Funeral arrangements will be announced by Young's. The body was taken to the family home in Smackover Friday. (The El Dorado Times - January 28, 1966)
