Denver Joe Rice, 73, of Searcy, died November 11, 2011 at his residence. He was born September 30, 1938 in Georgia Ridge, Arkansas to the late Brady and Gracie Watkins Rice.
Mr. Rice was a butcher for many years. He loved spending time with his family and rabbit hunting was a favorite hobby. He will be forever remembered for his sense of humor and his loving, caring personality.
He leaves his loving wife of 33 years, Lorene Damon Rice; two sons, Todd Gilmore and wife Lisa, and Danny Pitts and wife Karen both of Benton, Ar.; two daughters, Janet Coltellaro and husband Rocky of Rockwall, Tx., and Kathy Oglesby and husband Jimmy of Benton, Ar.; one sister, Paulette Rice of Searcy; five grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
Visiting hours are Tuesday, November 15 from 6-8 PM at the Searcy-McEuen Funeral Home.
Graveside services will be 2 p.m. Wednesday at Center Hill Presbyterian Cemetery under the direction of Searcy-McEuen Funeral Home.
