Derl Edwin Cohorn, 69 year-old resident of Siloam Springs, Arkansas, died April 17, 2005, at his residence. Born September 2, 1935 in White County, Arkansas, he was the son of Amos A. Cohorn and Bessie A. Cunningham Cohorn. Derl retired from the Siloam Springs School District where he was the school custodian. Derl was preceded in death by one son, David E. Cohorn; two brothers, Carl A. Cohorn and Dalton C. Cohorn; and one sister, Carleen Faulks. Survivors include two daughters, Teresa L. Fletcher of Wakefield, Rhode Island, and Johnnie R. Honegger of Chama, New Mexico; a close personal friend and companion, Phyllis D. Sullivan of Siloam Springs, Arkansas; three sisters, Hazel Vardel of Puxico, Missouri, Doris Pasley of Carlisle, Arkansas, and Eldean Tanner of Searcy, Arkansas; one grandson David T. Cohorn of Chama, New Mexico, and one granddaughter, Shelby L. Soto of Chama, New Mexico; and numerous nephews and nieces. Funeral services will be 6:00 p.m., Tuesday, April 19, 2005, at Wasson Memorial Chapel, Siloam Springs, Arkansas, with Jim Henderson officiating. Visitation will be 4:30 to 6:00 p.m., Tuesday, April 19, 2005, at Wasson Funeral Home, Siloam Springs, Arkansas. Graveside services will be 1:00 p.m., Wednesday, April 20, 2005, at Presbyterian Cemetery, Centerhill Community, Arkansas. Memorial contributions may be given to the American Cancer Society, Mid-South Division Inc., 901 N. University Avenue, Little Rock, Arkansas 72207-6354 or the Ozark Highland Trail Association, HC 33, Box 50-A, Pettigrew, Arkansas 72752. Arrangements are under the direction of Wasson Funeral Home, Siloam Springs, Arkansas.
