Mary Alice English, 88, of Searcy, died Friday, November 22, 2013. She was born December 2, 1924 in Floral, Arkansas to the late Harvey and Ola Sample Head.
She was a member of the Letona Church of Christ and the Little Indian Creek Extension Homemakers Club. She was an avid fan of the Razorbacks and loved to watch football and basketball games.
She is survived by her husband of 69 years, Elton; one son and daughter-in-law, Lareece and Jackie; one daughter, Lawana all of Searcy; one sister, Audrey Head Maddux of Eldridge, Missouri; as well as several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one brother, Luther Head.
Visitation will be 6-8 p.m. Monday, November 25, 2013 at Searcy-McEuen Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, in the funeral home chapel with burial following at Center Hill Presbyterian Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers the family requests memorials be made to the Searcy Children's Home
