LOCATION: Stainer Cemetery is located NW of Benton and N of Owensville on Sulphur Springs Road off of Highway 9. From exit 117 on I30 SW of Benton take Highway 5 NW 12.5 miles to Crows intersection and Highway 9. Take Highway 9 N for about 3 miles to the intersection of Sulphur Springs Road on the left. Take Sulphur Springs Road approximately 2.5 miles to a residence on the left side of the road. The drive way leading to the residence forks almost immediately to the left. Take this drive and Stainer Cemetery lies to the left with a large cattle gate normally wide open.
LEGAL: Located in the NE ¼ of the SW ¼ of Section 3, Township 1 South, Range 17 West.

CONDITION: This is an abandoned neglected cemetery. Field stones and grave impressions were noted. Fence is down in a number of areas making the standing stones vulnerable to cattle.
AGE: Earliest grave is 1877 and most recent 1965
