W Louis Smart, 74, died early Wednesday afternoon at his home in the Smart Field Community, after a brief illness. He was a member of the Corinth Baptist Church. Mr. Smart is survived by his wife, Mrs. Maudie Smart; four sons, Hershel and Marvin Smart of Stephens; Calvin Smart of Riverside, California and Elmer Smart of Hobbs, New Mexico, and by five daughters, Mrs. Burl Bee Carter, Waco, Tex.; Mrs. M. W. Malcolm, Little Rock; Mrs. C. T. Cheatham, El Dorado; Mrs. Jim Wilf of Texarkana, Texas; and Mrs. Carbon Yelvington of Magnolia; two brothers, Lester Smart of the College Hill Community and Marshal Smart of Smart Field; 12 grandchildren and one great grandchild. Funeral service will be held Friday at Corinth Baptist Church at 2 p.m. with Lewis Funeral Home of Magnolia in charge of arrangements. Burial will be in Stephens Cemetery.
