FAYETTEVILLE — Peter Gogocha, 83, of Fayetteville, died Saturday, Sept 11, 2010, at Washington Regional Medical Center.
He was born May 10, 1927, at Brachika, Ukraine, to Basel Vasal and Anna Palamore Gogocha.
He served in the United States Army during the Korean conflict. He was a member of the American Legion and volunteered for Gospel Tracts International. He was a member of the Mount Comfort Church of Christ.
He is survived by his wife, Loureen Gogocha; two sons, John and wife, Carin Gogocha, of McAllen, Texas, and Mike and wife, Vicki Gogocha, of Rockford, Mich.; a daughter, Cindy and husband, Dale Walker, of Norman, Okla.; 10 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. He is also survived by a brother, Basel Gogocha of Lvov, Ukraine.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 16 at Mount Comfort Church of Christ.
Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. today, Sept. 15 at Nelson-Berna Funeral Home and Crematory. Burial will be in Farmington Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made to Gospel Tracts International or Paragould Children's Home.
