Mebeline Vanon Dodson, 86, of the Beryl Community, went home to be with her Lord Sunday October 23, 2011 at Conway Regional Health System. Mrs. Dodson was born February 23, 1925 in the Beryl Community to the late Arthur Lafayette and Florence Lee (Simmons) Roberts. She was also preceded in death by her husbands George S. Gill, and Wesley R. Dodson.
Mrs. Dodson was a member of the Friendship Baptist Church in Vilonia. She graduated from Vilonia High School. Mrs. Dodson was a homemaker and always enjoyed having her family and friends join her for Sunday dinner.
Survivors include her two sons, Paul Richard Gill (Kathy) and George Michael Gill (Tricia), both of Vilonia, AR, grandchildren, Rhonda Dixon (David), Paul E. Gill (Cassie), Kalynn Gill, and Kimberly Gill, Laura Denton, and Kevin Phillips, five great-granchildren, Hannah and Jacob Dixon, Ethan and Mackenzie Davis, and Riley McCann, brothers, James Roberts, (Syble), Troy Roberts (Pat), and two sisters, Wanda Sue (Paul) Robare of Greenbrier and Billie Jean Parker of Daytona, FL.
Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m. Thursday October 27, 2011 at Friendship Baptist Church in Conway, with Bro. Ken Jordon officiating. Burial will follow at Beryl cemetery in Vilonia. Serving as pallbearers will be Ben Davis, David Dixon, Paul E. Gill, Jeremy Goodin, Kevin Phillips, and Ronnie Simmons. Honorary pallbearers will be Bob Fason, Jack Nesmith, Charles Montgomery, and Robbie Goodin.
Visitation will be from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Wednesday at Roller-McNutt Funeral Home in Conway (501) 327-7727 . In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Friendship Baptist Church Building Fund, 767 Rocky Point Road, Conway, AR 72032, or the Beryl Cemetery in care of Pat Roberts, #8 Beryl Road, Conway, AR 72032.
