April 24, 1924 - August 3, 1977
Los Angeles, Calif - Joe Short, 53, of Los Angeles and formerly of Camden, died Wednesday in Waldron, Ark., while on vacation. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday at Proctor Funeral Home in Camden with the Rev. G. I. Norris officiating. Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery. He was a clerk for a hardware store, World War II and Korean Conflict veteran and a deacon of the First Southern Baptist Church of Santa Monica, Calif. Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Doris Parks Short of Los Angles, a son, David Short of Los Angeles, his mother, Mrs. Maude Short, of Camden, and two sisters, Mrs. Louise McKenzie of Camden and Mrs. Thelma Luksa of Anaheim, Calif.
