Martha Belle Drennan Jenkins, 74, of Cabot, formerly of North Little Rock, passed away Thursday, March 3, 2005.She was born May 10, 1930 in El Paso, Arkansas, the first child of the late Boone and Mamie Drennan. She graduated from El Paso High School and attended ASU in Beebe. She was a member of the Church of Christ. She enjoyed cooking, sewing, working in her flowers and garden, crocheting things for her great grandchildren, and playing bridge with her friends.
She is survived by her husband of fifty-seven years, Charles Jenkins; two daughters, Kathy Grober and her husband Ed, of Austin, Texas, Vicki Jenkins of North Little Rock, Arkansas; son, Steve Jenkins of Cabot, Arkansas; three grandchildren, Lara Lampert of Austin, Texas, Jason Turgeon of Memphis, Tennessee, and Gina Turgeon of North Little Rock, Arkansas; two great-grandchildren, Adison and Brynn Lampert of Austin, Texas; two sisters Ducy Brown of North Little Rock, Arkansas and Deborah (Johnnie) Williams of West Memphis; many nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of friends.
Funeral Service will be conducted by David Riley and Jerry Riley at 2:00 p.m., Sunday, March 6, 2005 at Roller-Owens Funeral Home Chapel (791-7400) 5509 John F. Kennedy Blvd., North Little Rock, Arkansas. Interment will follow at Blasingame Cemetery in El Paso, Arkansas.
The family will receive friends from 5-7 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
The family thanks all the neighbors, friends, and family members who called, visited and prayed for her while she was in the hospital. A special thanks to the nurses in the ICU of St. Vincent North.
