November 29, 1888 - March 4, 1948
Miss Georgia Quarterman, aged 59, died at the Camden Hospital Thursday night at 11:50. She was a member of the First Baptist Church and a lifelong resident of Camden. She is survived by one sister, Miss Edna Quarterman; three brothers, A. B., Ken, and Wade Quarterman, all of Camden. Funeral services will be held at 2:30 p.m. Saturday at the Baptist Church, with Rev. T. L. Harris officiating. Burial in Greenwood Cemetery. Active pallbearers: Leonard Leggett, John W. Wilson, Eugene Cawthon, Harold Lazarus, Joe Parker, and Fred Brinkman. Honorary pallbearers: Bob Reynolds, Johnny Roy Bradley, H. P. Robertson, Clarence Grabert, Dr. J. B. Jameson, Dr. John Miller, Roy Garner, Oliver Martin, Ritchey Morgan, and John Hendricks. Proctor's mortuary will be in charge. Miss Quarterman has been an active worker in the Baptist Church all her life and was one of the most faithful members of the local church. She has a host of friends here who will regret to learn of her death. (Camden News - March 5, 1948)
