1906 - January 22, 1947
Everett V. Oliver, aged 40, was found dead in bed at his home in New Orleans, La., Wednesday, Jan. 22. He is survived by his wife and two children, Ethel Mae and James; four sisters, Mrs. Wesley Roberts of Camden; Mrs. Mona Scott of El Dorado; Mrs. Ben Murphy of El Dorado; Mrs. Charlie Smith of Pine Bluff; two brothers, Raymond Oliver of Reader and Burton Oliver of Los Angeles, Calif. He was a member of the Vantrease Methodist Church of El Dorado. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday at Reader, with the Rev. H. R. Nabors of Chidester, officiating. Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery at Camden. Active pallbearers will be all nephews - Fred Lee Scott, James O. Smith, Wayne L. Smith, W. R. Oliver, S. W. Oliver, and W. J. Oliver. Honorary pallbearers will be Bill Smead, Bruce Streett, Leonard Leggett, Al Rose, Dr. J. S. Rinehart, R. T. Lockett, Jack Glover, and Jeff Delezen. Proctor Mortuary will be in charge.
