December 10, 1877 - March 17, 1948

Mrs. Nora Ellen Martin, aged 70, wife of Perry B. Martin, died at the Camden Hospital Wednesday night at 11:25 o'clock. Her home was formerly in Rosedale, Miss., but the past three years she has made her home with her daughter, Mrs. James H. Talbert, 411 N. Cleveland. She is survived by her husband of Rosedale; three daughters, Mrs. E. E. Jenson, and Mrs. J. H. Talbert, both of Camden; and Mrs. Morris Bass of Cullendale; two sons, James H. Martin of Jonesboro, and L. C. Martin of Seattle, Wash.; one sister, Mrs. Sue Webb, of Bell Gardens, Calif.; nine grandchildren, and two great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Friday at the First Christian Church, with the Rev. M. Lee Sorey officiating. Burial in Greenwood Cemetery. The body will lie in state at the church from 9 o'clock till 10. Active pallbearers: Duke Haynie, Herman Williamson, Jimmy Everheart, Johnie Roy Bradley, M. C. Merritt, and Jack Clover. Honorary pallbearers: Thomas Aldridge, G. V. Martin, Doc Harper, Dr. Rowland Robins, W. T. Reynolds, A. D. Mason, E. L. McVey of Water Valley, Miss., R. L. Ferginson of Brinkley, and M. J. Nichols of San Diego. Proctor's in charge. (Camden News - March 18, 1948)
