Clarence L. Maraman, 81, of 513 North St., died at the Ouachita County Hospital. He retired a few years ago from International Paper Company, and had been ill for several weeks. Mr. Maraman was a member of Cullendale First Baptist Church. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Ruby Maraman, and one daughter, Betty Ruth of Benton, and several nieces and nephews including Burtis Christian of Sturgis, Ky., and Mrs. Cordie Dodson of Henderson, Ky. Funeral services will be held Saturday at 2 p.m. in the Cullendale First Baptist Church with Rev. Robert Parker and Rev. M. W. Miller officiating. Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery. Active pallbearers will include Dave Bush, Paul Scarbough, E. L. Hammond, Dwight Meeks, Mike Garner and Robert McAlister. Honorary pallbearers will be Dr. Tom Meek, George Souter, Alvis Holeman, L. W. Young, R. H. Ray and deacons of the church. (Camden News - February 21, 1964)
