1901 - 1948
R. E. Loyd whose home is at 331 Ritchie street, died Sunday at the State Sanitorium in Booneville. He was 47 and a former employe of the Camden Monument Works. He was a granite and marble cutter. Mr. Loyd is survived by his wife, a daughter, Andrea Loyd, two sons, William E. and Robert J. Loyd, all of Camden; his mother, Mrs. R. L. Loyd of Morrilton and a sister, Mrs. M. L. McDonald of Morrilton. Funeral services will be held at Proctor chapel by Hugh R. Hogg at 10 a.m. Wednesday. Pallbearers will be Ed Offutt, Melvin Herring, Henry Kauffman, Russell Furr, C. E. Parker, John Kilgore, Cecil Bowers, and Kenneth Clark. (Camden News - November 23, 1948)
