Lee "Tiny" Owen Evatt, 91, of Pine Bluff, Arkansas, passed away Thursday, November 3, 2011, at home.

Born September 3, 1920, in Vilonia, Arkansas, (Faulkner County), he was a son of the late John Bunyan and Savannah Elizabeth Simpson Evatt.

He was reared and received his education in Vilonia.

In 1943, he joined the United States Navy, serving on the USS New Orleans 4th Division during World War II. After his tour of duty, he was honorably discharged in 1945.

Tiny spent most of his working career with Strong Company, Inc. in Pine Bluff. He was one of the first employees of the company, starting out as a Job Sight Foreman, being promoted to a Job Superintendent and then to a Plant Super., until his retirement.

He was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Armina Lucille Evatt and a son, James Owen Evatt.

He is survived by his sons, Carlton Ray Merriam, of Dumas, Texas and Thomas Lee Paul Evatt, and wife, Brenda, of Pine Bluff; his daughter Shirley Ann Evatt Armstrong, of Grand Lake, Oklahoma; eleven grandchildren; twenty-four great-grand-children; his brothers, Leroy Evatt, of Little Rock and George Ray Evatt, of Conway; and his sisters, Inez Evatt Coker, of Vilonia, Grace Evatt Reed and Clara Evatt Baker, both of Conway.

Funeral service were in the Chapel of Ralph Robinson & Son. Graveside service were held in Vilonia Cemetery.
